Convenient and Accessible: The
Center is located on Interstate 10 about a half-mile east
of Sheldon Road. It is next to DeZavalla Elementary
School.
An Emphasis on Learning: Child's
play is serious work! Our staff uses the Wee Learn
curriculum, which incorporates learning about our world
and community with learning about the Christian faith.
Even more important, we incorporate learning into all
activities, constantly encouraging children to pursue
their own curiosity.
Top-notch Facility: The new
facility, designed for Child Care use, was opened in
October 1999. We believe it to be one of the
best-planned Child Care facilities in the area.
New but Experienced: The
Child Care Center is an integral part of the ministry of
Old River Terrace United Methodist Church, which has been
part of the Channelview community since 1938.
Director Jo Ann Hough brings with her ten years of
experience as an owner-operator of a child care center, as
well as extensive experience in personnel and office
management.
Church-based Makes a Difference: Christian
faith development is built in to every aspect of what we
do. This makes a difference in the respect shown to
both children and staff - decisions are made by members of
the community who are committed to making it a better
place.
Enrolling Now: We are now
enrolling for all ages, as long as space is
